push to top and latest items

Since latest items is getting latest publishing date and push to top is updating the publishing date.
How do you prevent push to top items from showing up on latest items?

The whole idea of push to top feature is to make old ads on top with single click. You can remove this feature entirely for users by editing ad-loop.php file and remove or commenting this code in that file.

is there any way to not update publish date? because this mess up and you can't see what ads are new and what are old

They get new publish date but their listing ids will still be old.
